We include internal scrap, customer returns, and extra costs due to productivity lower than our standard cost; nothing else. From what I've read, there is a lot more to it. We only have a COQ of 11.3% of our gross sales. Is that good in the year 2002? The Sr. management want to combine orders & make larger batches of product to cut down on change-overs & end of run scrap. Comments?
