I'm recently doing some research about 'Dock to Stock' methods due to my
project about Supply Chain Management.
I have some trouble finding literature about Dock to Stock. I have found
literature about Supply Chain Management, JIT, Cross Docking etc.
What I have found so far about dock to stock that it's goal is to eliminate
double work that is being performed on the outgoing control(supplier) and
ingoing control(customer).
I was wandering if it's possible to share your information about Dock to
Stock with me.
Again here in the Netherland the people/companies i have asked are not
familiar with the dock to stock method.
The question that i have encountered during my research are:
- Where does the name/method Dock to Stock originates from?
- Where can i find literature explicitly about Dock to Stock
programs/method?
Is it also possible to share information with me about how your company set
up and implemented a Dock to Stock program?
I would appreciate your willingness to share the information i've requested.
